Speaking

I inspire White folks (and others) to be antiracist through unique and compelling speaking experiences.

White people need to speak out more about racism. As a speaker, I model how to be relevant in the conversation, and inspire other White folks to do the same.

Here are some of the speaking services I offer:

Fireside Chat

A member of your team and I have an intimate conversation about why and how White folks can and should be more involved in fighting for racial justice. This is my preferred format. It allows for nuance, vulnerability, and wisdom to surface and drive compelling conversations that invite reflection and inspire action.

Panel Moderator

I will drive the conversation around the role of White people in racial justice—both challenging and supporting panelists to be courageous and vulnerable. I will center and amplify voices of color. I will create a memorable experience with sustainable impact. I guarantee that any panel I’m part of will not suck.

White Affinity Groups

White folks need to be talking about racism. But they don’t always know how. I facilitate conversations with White leaders and aspiring change agents that elevate awareness and inspire action. Learn more here. Want 1:1 coaching too? You got it.

Keynote talk

I read from sections of my book, followed by audience Q&A. This option is perfect to kick off a team offsite event, an all-hands meeting, an internal or public conference, or any other event where you want to motivate participants to center humanity and belonging, and set a tone of reflection and accountability.

Book Club Group

You pick the participants. They read the book. I come in and lead three meetings to do a deeper dive into the themes in the book—humanity, social justice, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, storytelling, and more. We discuss how to implement antiracist mindsets and approaches that lead to antiracist workplaces.

Podcast Guest

I can discuss the themes in the book—humanity, social justice, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, storytelling; my personal journey and my “why;” how White folks can and should be more involved in fighting for racial justice, and much more.

Why you should hire
jared as a speaker

We need more White people driving the antiracism conversation. The problem is, most White people don’t know how to do that. Bring me into your org as a speaker and I will deliver:

  • A compelling argument for why White people should be antiracist

  • A framework for how to keep doing the work—even when it’s tough (which it always is)

  • A model for how to lead with vulnerability, speak with conviction, and engage with humanity

I’ve collaborated with Jared on various projects and panels, and I am always impressed with the level of humility he uses to connect with and inspire people.
— Sumayyah Emeh Edu, Director of Diversity & Inclusion Strategy at Charles Schwab

Why You should invite Jared to be a guest on your podcast

There aren’t that many White guys actively confronting racism who are also ready, wiling, and able to talk about it with clarity and conviction. As a guest on your podcast I promise to:

  • Be an engaging conversationalist

  • Challenge your listeners to think and change

  • Offer new perspectives and a clear point of view

  • Disrupt the status quo

  • Provide clear frameworks and actionable takeaways

Jared is a dynamic, engaging and heart-centered speaker. He shows up fully and authentically, in service to the audience. He is empathetic and mindful. I would highly recommend him as a speaker, coach or workshop facilitator.
— Brigette Iarusso, Global Business Coach and Speaker
